Attractive tutti-frutti notes hop out of the glass with this Vinvita Prosecco, with clear peach, pear and lemon notes with a touch of jasmine flower. The palate is fresh, round and deliciously moreish with more green apple, peach and elderflower flavours. This isn’t too sweet, nor is it too acidic, which is why we’re incredibly happy with it as our only Prosecco DOC on offer.The Prosecco DOC is a large growing area, within which millions of bottles are produced every year. This lightly coloured rosé is a classic example from the south of Italy. Made from a combination of local red grape varieties, the wine shows an array of red fruit and berries, apples and melon with an intriguing underlying green herbal note. Fresh, vibrant fruit flavours provide texture and weight supported by bright, balancing acidity. The wine is dry in style which makes it ideal as an aperitif or to enjoy with salmon, prawns and white meats.The grapes for this Rosato are harvested in mid-September. The must is left to macerate on the skins for about 12 hours at a controlled temperature to extract colour.
